I found out elsewhere that adult tickets are âŹ10 and children free for the Time Museum.
The city has a thing called a Freedom Pass. Somebody in the know might fill us in on that please.
23⏠gets you access to 5 museums and a walking tour.
Good value.
Would you do it all in a day?
Yes

Waterfordâs Copper Coast
Waterford has been named the top destination in Ireland by Condé Nast Traveller, in a list of the must-see places to visit in Ireland.
Condé Nast Traveller is a long-running travel publications, known for unearthing hidden gems with the assistance of expert contributors from across the globe. The publication often shares round-ups of the best places to visit in certain countries, and The Déise has topped their list of the 7 Wonders of Ireland for a second year in a row.
The article, written by Chief Sub-Editor for the publication Grainne McBride, offers a list of some lesser known parts of the country to explore, with Waterfordâs Copper Coast and Greenway at the top.
Just in time for summer, the article points to a number of beaches, calling them some of the âmost beautiful, empty and underrated beaches in Ireland â from the sea caves of TrĂĄ na mBĂł and the cake-layer cliffs of Stradbally Cove to the sublime swimming at Guillamene (for men only until the 1980s) and the family-friendly scoop of Kilmurrinâ.
The Greenway is a top destination, a 46km-long car-free path that stretches from Waterford City to DĂșn GarbhĂĄin (Dungarven), which is 10km away from An Rinn, the countyâs Gaeltacht region. McBride suggests stopping off at Mount Congreve, a stunning Georgian estate near the River Suir, for an elegant pit stop as you pass through viaducts and over bridges.
Elsewhere on the list are breathtaking destinations including the Fermanagh Lakelands and the passage tombs of the Ancient East.

Jaysus it even has Bluey.
Itâs on the top of the list alright but does that make it the top destination?
Kilkenny is last mentioned.
The seven wonders of Ireland are:
Waterfordâs Copper Coast and Greenway
The Burren
Ring of Beara
Northwest Donegal
Fermanagh Lakelands
The passage tombs of the Ancient East
Kilkenny for Culture
Northwest Donegal sound uninspiring. They should have spiced up the title a bit by adding something âwildâ and perhaps something to do with the âseaâ.
Copper Coast is fantastic. My young fellow loves all the beaches along there and we mix it up all the time. My top copper coast beaches would be
Bunmahon is a great long stretch of beach as well.
Bunmahon is lethal dangerous for swimming
It is.
What kind of spot is Gold Coast hotel ?
@Fagan_ODowd it was interesting to note that of the people drinking Guinness in Mahers last weekend, 80% were drinking bottles. Youâd never see that in this neck of the woods
Tradition dies hard in our part of the world.
Bunmahon is notorious alright. Wouldnât be going in the water there and Iâd be a strong swimmer.
Dannos
I remember when I told the oul lad that I was going to college in Waterford , his first response was
âGreat place for the large bottle.â
A large bottle of Phoenix from the Kewlar!
Long gone unfortunately.
They drink us dry of the large bottles every year they come to the Gaelic Grounds. Which reminds me I better tell the new bar manager to get plenty into stock.
