A gentleman from a parish to the south of me was caught redhanded with a kilo of cannabis (per reports) valued €20k and bailed in court in Limerick two years ago. No sign of the case coming to court and he is out and about with his day job since. He is from a pretty well-known Limerick family

They’ll get some failed property developer to spearhead a public (mostly online) campaign to open up Pairc Ui Caoimh so they can organise a celebrity bake off to raise money for the legal defence. The GAA will be lambasted as usual and shamed into doing it. Cretins like Niall Boylan and Joe Duffy will stir the public into a frenzy. RTE will ride the populist wave of sympathy and televise it then.
