Louth GAA Star Set To Transfer Clubs For Third Time

LMFM are reporting that Louth midfielder Tommy Durnin is set to switch clubs ahead of the 2026 season, rejoining his native Westerns. The 32-year old is no stranger to this process, with this set to be his third club transfer in recent times.

Durnin came through the grades at Westerns, a club based just outside Ardee who line out at junior level in Louth. He would then transfer to Monaghan club Iniskeen Grattans in 2021, helping them reach a senior county final in 2023.

The midfielder would make a return to Louth football in 2025, although it was in new colours. He transferred to three-time reigning county champions Ardee St Mary’s, although was unable to help the club to a fourth successive senior crown.
