Once time travelling starts coming into these things it fucks shit right up.
In order for Bran to have fucked up Hodors brain he had to make it to that point in time where that could happen. That couldn’t have happened without Hodors brain being fucked up.
Paradox. I thought it was brilliant.
More of a plot hole than a paradox.
It was good at the time, but it’s annoying me now.

I was a little underwhelmed by this week’s episode, probably because of all the hype/headlines/frenzy around #holdthedoor. For me the episode didn’t come anywhere close to The Red Wedding.
In reality Hodor has been a relatively minor character throughout and all this week did was resolve a question that was only contemplated for the first time a few weeks ago - why is he called Hodor and why can’t he talk?
I acknowledge there were other plot developments such as the origin of the Whitewalkers but Hodor seems to have gotten all the headlines.
