How his talent was reported from an early age I think diminished his effect on golf. This is a man who sought out and buried his rivals from the first time he stepped onto the tee as a pro and left records strewn behind him. His only rival at the height of his career was the record book

Rory was one of host of players who wore red and black today out of respect to Tiger Woods. But you don’t hear that from the ra-stoolers and those who think it would be cool to slag off one of Ireland’s greatest sportsmen. Some lads on here are pathetic.
