Tipp v Wexford AI Hurling Semi Final Thread

Some questionable revisionism here but I admire the sentiment of mentalness. Meanwhile in Tipperary north and south riding the crown forces were restocked with grain, horses and not so comely maidens. Hon wexy

:grinning:

Tipp are one paced. The key to tipp winning is the workrate of their forwards. Bonnar’s absence is keenly missed as the leader of attack he set the tone for the others. This was evident in group matches.

It was lacking against limerick and a repeat of that collective effort will afford wexford the opportunities to run at tipp’s backs.

If tipp forwards can bring the necessary workrate/intensity, this wont happen and wex will turn over ball which inevitably will result in goals and losing of match.

Wexford must show a different hand to win this. Barry is a weakness. Imho, they should put McDonald on the edge of square and go orthodox initially. If they can bag a goal or two and build a lead, revert to sweeper system then.

You think the mad cunt is gonna abandon his principles? He’ll think as the more a dogfight it becomes tipp will tire and weaken as they did in the Munster final, key will be not being too far behind so he’s not gonna throw caution to the wind

I think Davy is a lot smarter than people give him credit for.

Didnt feel like 55k there yesterday tbh.

So do I therefore he’ll realise he hasn’t the guns to out duel tipp

Kennedy to start instead of Barry today.

So does Davy. Doesn’t mean it is true

He completely changed his system from the drawn all ireland in 2013. He can be flexible.

Whatever about tipp backs l’d be wary of eamon o shea… Great man to coach forwards… They’ll be constantly moving and sniffing for goals… And if they get goals wexford are fcuked as they don’t have the same eye for a goal…

Wexford Wexford Wexford

Nullify their HB line like Limerick did…squeeze them… They still have the quality to bang in goals out of no where. They do lack pace.

Felt like more or less you think?

I was in the Lower Cusack and the noise was fantastic at times.

Not sure it would have felt the same in upper tiers?

You might want to read what I actually wrote again.

Felt like less Phil. But you could be right. I was in Upper Hogan.

It’s the defensive duties of their forwards I am refering to.

Yep but lads will try and tell you that was all Kinnerk.

Season ticket holders from both sides take up a good portion of the lower Cusack so they tend to be the most vocal obviously too. Had some right passionate lads around me.

You should get a ST next year Mike. It’s a no brainer and always great seats
