Tipperary GAA 2015

Tipperary will play Cork in the Quarter-Final of the McGrath Cup on Sunday January 11th at 2pm in Clonmel Sportsfield.

What kind of a team can we expect to see in this?

I presume they’ll go with a strong team building towards the Armagh game at the end of the month.

Team to play Wexford in a challenge match tomorrow.

1 Darren Gleeson
2 Joe O’Dwyer
3 Paul Curran
4 Michael Breen
5 Shane McGrath
6 Thomas Stapleton
7 Gearoid Ryan
8 John O’Dwyer
9 James Woodlock
10 Denis Maher
11 Sean Maher
12 Conor Kenny
13 David Butler
14 Seamus Callanan
15 Niall O’Meara

16 Darragh Egan
17 Stephen Maher
18 Jason Forde
19 Liam Treacy
20 Conor O’Mahony
21 Michéal Butler
22 Daniel Guinan

Big ask playing basically the same team again after Friday night.

Wexford could go to town on us.

any reason FOrde isn’t getting a start?

Missing a load due to injuries/Mid U21 final.

I would say its a case of fulfilling the fixture more than anything else. Clare next week in the WC will be the priority.

Surely Forde should be starting these matches.

He played for UL today.

You’d imagine he’ll get a run at some stage.

David Butler lining out again. He could be a serious option, a very powerful player.

Pace & weight are his issues. He was really impressive on the AI Intermediate team but the management never looked at him which was strange. Could be a FF option?

I wouldn’t have said pace was an issue, he carries a bit of weight alright but you’d imagine a couple of months good training and proper eating would sort that.
I see his brother listed on the subs too.

Tipps answer to Shane Dowling.

A weird one. No offense to the chap but i wouldn’t consider him up to it. Better lads in the U21 panel surely.

Funny looking bench really.

I would say that Micheal Butler, Guinan and Musha Maher are not officially on the panel but are there more or less to make up the numbers. Colm Ryan from Upperchurch came on last night.

Cahilll and Barry are both out for a few months with Ronan Maher, John McGrath, Liam McGrath and John Meaghar playing Under 21 Mid Final tomorrow and I presume management see no point in flogging thoroughbreds like Brendan Maher, Padraic Maher, Patrick Maher, Lar Corbett and Noel McGrath at this stage.

Conor O’Brien is injured too I think.

He played Friday night i thought? Probably working after being away on the Holiday.

Because he is ginger?!?

I could be wrong but I thought he was named originally but was replaced by Stephen Maher before throw in.

Would have thought Aiden McCormack might have got a look in with so many lads being missing for one reason or another. He has more to offer than some lads on the panel.

Tadgh Gallagher an obvious one to look at too i would of thought.

Dan McCormack would be another.

I presume Pa Bourke, Brian O’Meara and John O’Neill’s time has passed.

Did he not play with Mary I last night?
