Top 2 from each group qualify from Roinn 1 as they are rated the top 16 from the league stages last year.
Winner of each group in Roinn 2 + 4 Divisional Champions make up last 16.
Bottom team in each group in Roinn 1 play in Roinn 2 next year.
Bottom teams from each group in Roinn 2 play off for relegation to Intermediate.
I think…

Jesus that’s some headache for an administrator and fixture planner I’d suspect. Even moreso given the growth of football in Tipp. No wonder they were playing in the depths of December.
The greatest show on earth is back:clap:
County Senior Hurling Championship Groups - Roinn 1
Group 1 Nenagh Eire Og, Ballina, Clonoulty Rossmore, Templederry
Group 2 Kildangan, Upperchurch Drombane, Moycarkey Borris, Thurles Sarsfields
Group 3 Loughmore Castleiney, Killenaule, Eire Og Annacarthy, Lorrha Dorrha
Group 4 Drom-Inch Borrisoleigh Burgess Kilruane
Upperchurch look to be the unlucky ones in that draw.
They’ll give Kildangan enough of it.
Drawn All Ireland via the qualifiers won’t happen every year.
West and South Tipperary Championships will be played off pretty fast this year with only 4 teams contesting each. ( 2 semi-finals and a final)
Looking at Group 3 though and 3 of the teams are dual senior clubs.
Also the footballers reached the last 12 of the Championship last year, tough on a fixtures planner.
We’ll be playing in December again his year. The dual teams have 3 SHC games, 3 SFC games, 2 Divisional hurling games and a divisional football game MINIMUM. That’s 9 games at least. The likes of Loughmore, Kilenaule and Annacarty will all probably be involved in the business end of both Championships and all these teams will have players involved in Inter County hurling and Football panels.
Clean Ireland Recycling Tipperary Senior Football Championship Draw
Group 1 – Killenaule, Kilsheelan-Kilcash, Eire Og Annacarty, Thomas MacDonaghs
Group 2 – Aherlow Gaels, Moyle Rovers Ardfinnan, Ballyporeen, Drom & Inch
Group 3 – Loughmore-Castleiney, Arravale Rovers, Galtee Rovers, Moycarkey-Borris
Group 4 – Cahir, JK Brackens, Clonmel Commercials, Moyne-Templetuohy
I dont know about that now. Kildangan ran rings around the church last year in Dolla. Have the church gotten stronger this year.
Should have won the Mid Championship, definitely improved as the year went on.
I believe they have lost a few to emigration this year.
@carryharry I saw a video of the Monday club in Lars in my feed
Is that the new thing now is it?
