Fair play to Pa Bourke
They need that break
Big time! The water breaks are having an impact. Helped the sars, helped Borris today so hopefully helps Eire Og!
Killenaule 0-23
Cashel 1-17
Clonoulty up 1-9 to 0-8 at HT.
Brian Fox and Ronan OâBrien gone off injured. Eire Og have hit a lot of wides and some of their big players havenât really got going yet. Declan Ryanâs young lad on for Clonoulty.
Best team won there. Easily kept is at arms length.
Who was the commentator? He liked the term stalwart.
Peter Hayes I thought I heard him say.
Some gom if so.
He got confused with Kevin and Brian Fox a lot.
I had my hopes raised that it might have been like that double act from the Drom/Roscrea game. It was dour enough alright.
The lad in the Cashel / Killenaule game was worse, great to be able to see the games all the same.
Need to get a couple of local legends involved.
The double act from the Drom game will be hard bet.
Sounded like Michael Butler ex hurler with them. I wouldnât have him down for that gig at all
The lad who was doing the Drom game was running Philly Ryanâs pub in Nenagh up to a few years ago
Sound lad. Hopefully we have turned a corner with the hurling. I am only an old lad hanging on but the future is bright for hurling in the club. For many years football was clearly the dominant one but other clubs have lead the way and have shown you can do both. There is a big crossover of players so hopefully the hectic schedule doesnât take a toll.
We would have been long odds to win on Saturday night and one fella said he wouldnât bet on us with stolen money but it just added to the will to win. We have some outstanding hurlers but its just about getting them all on the field and not to have this âconcentrating on the football mentalityâ. We were down a couple of our best players on Saturday and if it was any other year we would have lost by 10 points but have a small bit more depth this year. It was a cracking end to end game and I am still recovering today. Hopefully we can get to knock out stages.

Judging by tg4 last night seemed a lot more than 200 at borris v toome.
At a big junior B derby tonight with roughly 350 in attendance. Only 200 in the stadium last weekend then.
Laughable.
