I see Drom camogie won Munster today and half of them Loughmore as well
That was a great occasion in Semple Stadium.
Loughmore could and should have won by more but they like to make things as dramatic as possible. They have 4 or 5 genuine Hall of Famers in their team and the supporting cast all put their shoulders to the wheel. The likes of Tommy Maher and Lorcan Egan wonât get much recognition but they are absolutely vital to this team.
John Meagher has probably only played about 10 minutes of Senior Inter County hurling for Tipp but he commands as much respect and affection among Tipp Hurling folk as any hurler in the County in the past 10 years. He was brilliant today.
For Sars, itâs well known some of them havenât been well in the past couple of weeks and in truth some of them shouldnât have been playing today, but they still contributed to a great contest. Apart from Seosamh Ryan who was brilliant at the back and Pa Bourke/Denis Maher up front they were under pressure in most positions. The silence from the Sars supporters afterwards spoke volumes - the fallout there wonât be pretty.

Why would there be a âfall outâ? They were beaten fair and square at the end of two games, could easily have went their way
Losing to Loughmore just wouldnt be in the mindset there. Put themselves in pole position in both games at half time and couldnât push on.
Few questionable decisions taken on the line. All they had to do was keep lumping it in on top of Denis Maher who had Hennessy in all kinds of bother and theyâd have probably won.
Their management team spent most of both games arguing with each other too.

Heâs made a few borderline silly comments this year on local radio after games. Yer man Dowling should be doing it anyway.

The occasion all the more iconic by the Buff Egan arriving on scene for the wild celebrations afterwards. Heâll end up back in the pub with them yet.

Buff was in templetouhy as well for the kilmoyley v moynetempletouhy match so he must have missed a skelp of the senior final in thurles
Watched back a bit of the match yesterday on TG4.
Jeez Brian Tyers was at his brilliant best. No other commentator in GAA gets to the pitch of things quite like him.
