Group 1 & 2 are both very tough.
Every team in Group 3 will fancy it too but on paper that would be the weakest of the 4 groups.
Two teams come out of each.
How does it tie in with the rest of it then, North, South etc
The Divisions are still run off and if you win your Division you get a Prelim Quarter Final if you dont make it out of the Group.
The difference now is that only the above 16 teams can compete in their Senior Divisional Championships. The Seamus O’Riann teams have separate Divisional Championships.

If a team finishes 3rd or 4th in their Group but wins their Division, they’ll get a Play Off vs a randomly drawn 2nd placed team.
Not true in the South, the Seamus O’Riain teams are in the Senior Championship as there is only one Dan Breen team. If a SO’R team wins it they are guaranteed a preliminary QF in the SO’R

You are right. I knew there was something going on there as they were never going to just give Mullinahone a bye into a Play Off.
The Hurler on the Ditch has fine previews up of the different levels if you are willing to pay the 2 euro (and 46c VAT) per month. I bit the bullet and coughed up yesterday.

I think they could cause an upset or 2 there. A happier, more content canp this year. Woodlock’s management style rubbed some of the younger players up the wrong way.

Tipp beating Waterford 1-14 to 0-08 at half time, Cahir’s Tom Delaney with 1-05 or 1-06 from play. Waterford have butchered a couple of good goal chances.

I dont think you can read much into Under 17’s in a way. They are only TY’s really.
The dumbing down of these grades was the worst decision the Association made in 135 years but such is life.
