Tipperary GAA 2022

I donā€™t think Tipp have that luxury at the moment. Did he not have a fairly good championship last year?

He scored 1-2 v Clare.

Poor in the Munster final and got a few scores v Waterford. He was ok.

This fella was 6ā€™4/6ā€™5 Iā€™d say.

Double ankle fracture for Connors apparently.

Havenā€™t seen enough of Connolly to confirm but youā€™d often see lads who are big themselves are a bit dumbfounded when an even bigger lad is on them because theyā€™re not used to trying to stop a lad rather than having the advantage themselves and catching it.

Like Paudi Maher on Aisake or Johnny Glynn.

And the wind was ridiculous too so very hard to set yourself up positionally.

Tipp probably would have won if they didnā€™t balloon so many shots. They missed a fair amount of frees, and Stakelum had one that was definitely going over on a normal day but he hit it so high, it ended up being blown back about 15 metres.

No chance of it.

This is the fourth management set-up heā€™s been under, and bar some time in the Eamon Oā€™Shea era, no manager has rushed to put him in the backs. My own auld lad has been going on for years that he should be full back based on his minor displays a decade ago! If he was up for being in the backs, that would have happened a long time ago in my opinion.

His been hugely inconsistent for Tipp. Sheedy signalled him out as a lad who does a lot that goes unseen, but fuck me, he must have better eyesight than me. Heā€™s got size, hurling and pace, but just canā€™t seem to get it all together.

In saying that, Iā€™d be shocked if heā€™s not starting come championship

I have watched him off the ball on a number of occasions and wouldnā€™t say his work rate is good.

I knew theyā€™d win today.

Cappa-shite

I imagine they are getting good coin for the naming rights but it doesnā€™t sit right with me at all. Hearing Darren Frehill on the radio on Sunday Sport telling us they are returning to Martin Kiely in FBD Semple Stadium is galling.

FBD is probably more palatable than most sponsors as the farming community will at least have heard of them.

Still very disappointing news.

Any word how much they are getting for it? Iā€™d imagine it is the most lucrative GAA stadium deal currently.

Darren will call it SBG

DBF Semple Stadium.
