Obviously 1 of our greats, though before my time. Revered in Nenagh, i remember Galway fans on way back from a league semi or final in Thurles back in the 90s, Mick was in John Ryanâs with Pauline "How many AIs did you win Mick? A. 5 senior and 1 minor. He was an alright sort too, always time for a chat. He was 1 of about 5 on Tipp 60s team who drank alcohol. An aside, i think his son Michael jnr gave pro footie a go in England, Bournemouth maybe? Rest in peace Mick Burns

My auld lad messaged me the following (Iâll try and edit some of his auld lad text messaging):
âOne of the greats. Would be on the best Tipp team I ever saw, no 5, Paudie no 7 and I 'd put Finn at 4, because he he could play in the 6 back positions. Mick beautiful striker, got the point from 70 to draw the 62 match with Limerick, great on the sideline pucks and liked a jar. A stylist. RIP mick.â

Similar to what Iâve heard growing up, did the hurling for the other 5 who were basically âshutting down the opposition forwardsâ an exaggeration i know but a true stylist by all accounts

Not so sure, could see Breen still at 3, BOM at 6 and Ronan Maher at 5.
OâMara is a good prospect. He could do a decent job back there.
He should be centre back for next decade
Could well be id say. Would be comfortable in both positions from what Iâve seen anyway.
Heâs 24 so next decade is a stretch.
Hopefully he gets 6-8 good years at it.
Heâs ready to go now, wouldnât really call him a prospect at this stage. Has all the traits to deliver.

Cadell didnât actually do his cruciate I heard?
Was it not reported it was the ACL, Looked bad in the Video.
I heard it wasnt as serious as a cruciate. Likely to be back for the club championship.
