Have a feeling Tipp will win Sunday

Cahill is the manager who has decided to spit in the face of the new team release rules.

He’s probably right, can name the actual starting team in his own time then.

Team and subs will be named tonight. I dunno does this mean that Conor Bowe will be sitting on the bench wearing number 3 for example, while Jason Forde at 7 will be corner forward :man_shrugging:

I presume not; I presume the list with the numbers has been sent for the programme, that one has no numbers on it.

Doesn’t seem to be any surprises in the 26 anyway.

Eoin is Fergal’s son? Interesting week for the family.

Is he any good?

Fergal’s son.

Talented alright - Tipp U17 All Ireland winning goalie last year and played there for Thurles in Harty Final this year.

Kickhams have a great record producing goalies. Aaron Browne, Dylan O’Grady and Horgan all played Minor Championship for Tipp in goals between 2018-2022. Browne and O’Grady have since moved to Cashel King Cormacs after a high profile dispute a few years ago.

The current Kickhams Intermediate goalie is only 21 this year and is perhaps better than any of them. It will be interesting to see who is their goalie for Intermediate Championship this year. Fergal will expect Eoin to be playing.

Connolly (Cashel) would have been on 26 but is the latest in a very long injury list.

Im surprised with your knowledge that its only now you are learning this…

I only know about Limerick really, only whispers from elsewhere.

Was the aforementioned Fergal at the centre of this dispute too?

No not really.

He had his own dispute years ago when he approached a neighbouring club to transfer to them. Thankfully it never came to pass. The Kickhams are a basket case.

I had nearly forgotten that.

That lead to the Kennedy’s x2 leaving Clonoulty for Sars?

Fergal’s own playing career for Kickhams was thin enough? I barely ever remember him playing in goals for them. Played corner forward around 2009 for a year before getting serious at the reffing. He wasn’t in goals when they won the West Senior in 2006 and he’d only have been mid 20’s then.

I think that was the start of it. You could have a podcast on transfers around West Tipp at this stage.

He was in London for years so didn’t really play with them in his 20s.

It’s got Derrick Lynch savage upset anyway

I saw that that’s how they are listed on the official team list too.

I do find that mildly irritating tbh, but what did they expect tbh? Surely they could have just gone for 9pm like most teams already did anyway (and 9pm on a Thursday for those playing Saturday)?

EDIT- thank fuck it’s not on RTE, I don’t think I could deal with Ger Canning being befuddled for 70 minutes that the full-back has scored another goal.

This is a needless sideshow Cahill is engaging in if Jason Forde is going to rock on wearing Number 7 playing full forward.

Tipp hurling supporters are very traditional in their beliefs and even though in the grand scheme of things its only a little thing, but it will be used as a stick to beat him with if things go wrong.
