Tipperary GAA 2025

That is an outrageously good full forward line

They’ll have to be to do damage v Clare full back line.

Cork will also be dangerous.

Robbie Ryan, Senan Butler good options also.
Not sure it’s allowed but Murray would be a huge help as an impact sub.

Think McCormack will end up inside, Martin at 11 and potentially O’Donoghue back centre back.

That doesn’t weaken it though and your leaving out Senan Butler, Robbie Ryan, Sam Rowan, Cillian Minogue, Stefan Tobin, Jack Hayes and Darragh Kelly all of whom would be deemed snipers in Cooper Helmets

Podge O’Dwyer in the backs?

Must be AI; there’s no junkies

They got too cocky in those last few months. They should have gotten out of Dublin but felt they were invincible. They knew they’d been followed by GMen a number of times in the days before Tracey was killed but stayed going about their business.

@peddlerscross @Fat_Pox I was driving through carrick on suir the other day ands saw the two gaa clubs . Who’d be more successful ? Presume there’s killings when they play?

You’ll get a good few replies on this one.

Swan and Davins. Swan the more successful this century anyway being senior for most of it. Doing well at underage and having lads on county panels.

Davins traditionally would have been more successful. Club of Mick Roche. However they are a lower and intermediate team now. They were senior a few years back and " El Carricko" was a serious affair with a noon throw in and big crowds.

There are three Clubs in Carrick.

Swans and Davins play in Tipp with St. Molleran’s and their fine set up across the river playing in Waterford.

Swans have the most South Senior Championships and are far more successful in modern times. They have a lovely new pitch built and a grand underage set up.

Davins have treaded water in recent times and went back Junior for a time. They have 2x County Senior Championships though from the 1960’s and home to the great Mick Roche.

They don’t meet that often but played an epic South Championship game back in 2010. Throw in had to be noon on a Sunday similar to Celtic v Rangers clashes.

I believe the clubs have their origins from the Civil War. Swan pro treaty (ie Fine Gael) and Davins anti treaty (FF).

Is this clip from that 2010 game?

No that was Davins against Ballingarry i think.

Both Swan and Davins would have no fear of lowering the cutting bar and an all out row breaking out. The biggest fights in matches I played was against them.

Davins also have a Munster Club. They won their 11 South Seniors over a 15 year period from the mid 60’s. PJ Ryan was also on Tipp teams back then, Ralph Callaghan in the 80’s as well.

Carrick is a big soccer town too isn’t it?

It would be. Fairly sure they won an FAI junior cup or two in the last 15 years.

Carrick Utd play in Waterford, won one FAI Junior Cup, beaten in another final.

Daryll kavanagh who played with rovers and pat’s from there i think , fine footballer

Rock Rovers played in Tipp but folded around a decade ago.

Lee Grace of Shamrock Rovers would be a Carrick United man.
