Tipperary GAA 2026

He’s still got 2 years of u20 ahead of him but he’ll probably be on senior championship team next year

They are a bit like Tipp 2025 with the mix of the old guard and exciting youth. Playing with a chip on the shoulder too.

The win over Holycross was massive for them psycologically.

Back in the Stadium now, they’ll feel they are as good as anyone.

From an outsider point of view always thought it’s a tough gig some of the 2nd placed teams have to play a preliminary playoff while others don’t.

I see the tables have been updated on the website, it’s now Mullinahone and Loughmore in relegation with Roscrea and Upperchurch.

What happens if Loughmore win the county final which is likely enough? Is relegation held up until after or at a certain point do they become exempt?

Held up until Loughmore are eliminated. Only exempt if they win the County.

Jesus that could potentially be the most depressing 2 months of training ever for the other 3

Loughmore aren’t in relegation.

The table on the website has the teams laid out based on overall scoring difference, but it actually comes down to a mini-league between the three teams involved, where it finished Borris +1, Loughmore 0, Clonoulty -1 so Clonoulty are in relegation.

The last Loughmore point from Noel McGrath from 100 yards ultimately swung it in Loughmore’s favour.

They can’t even get the tables right, pretty sure Clonoulty were bottom yesterday.

Who are favourites for relegation?

From Tipp FM

The South Tipp side will join Upperchurch/Drombane and Roscrea in the relegtaion semi-finals and will be joined by Clonoulty/Rossmore should the West champions not win the county final via their preliminary quarter-final route

I’m no Mullinahone lover but would that have been resolved so quickly if it was the other way around with Toome going into relegation?

I presume the referees report contained the amended score which meant there was probably nothing to resolve. Mullinahone might appeal, but I don’t really see what grounds they would have for it. Very messy, but what a championship - even the relegation is really hard to call - any of the 4 could go and Toom in their current form are lucky not to be in it - they could have struggled to stay up.

I imagine Mullinahone or Upperchurch. Upperchurch probably the better team, but Mullinahone are well experienced in relegation battles and are absolute dogs.

Just in the door from Littleton by way of The Ragg Bar and Lounge following a rip-roaring draw in the Junior A Mid Semi Final between Drom & Moycarkey.

Extra time was due to be played but thanks to the shortening evenings the referee displayed rare common sense and we we will be treated to a most wonderful thing; a replay.

Thurles SARS third team knocked out the Taliban’s seconds in the other semi final. That will surely sting
