Cooper to fall back into the half back line and let someone sweep?
Lawton to play deep as well leaving only 4 forwards?
Egan as sweeper, Lawton will play deep as well. Cadogan or Horgan further out?
Who knows really, only thing is for certain will be Egan as sweeper, Harnedy at 14 and Joyce at 3.
I expect Walsh will play around the middle
Harnedy inside with Cadogan around him
Season is really based on Harnedy hamstrings holding up. He is playing now where he should be
Excited to see young Kingston come in post exams. If they can get over the line Sunday they may build a small bit of momentum.
Can’t imagine what Walsh has done to deserve a start. The Cork hurling public adores him, despite not playing a good game since 2013. Will be disappointed if he starts.
Is Daniel Kearney injured or out of favour?
Is that an official team, I thought it was being announced on Friday evening and the squad would hear tonight?
Its a far better team then the limerick joke
Cliche alert.
Cork v Tipp follows form lines as much as any other GAA pairing has traditionally done.
Cork by 2 so @Sidney. Seriously though I think this could be close. Tipp will go 15 on 15 and a shoot out will suit cork. Performance of the cork backs critical as they are dodgy in fb line. They have forwards who can do damage.
Walsh not in the 15?
Not the official team lads, just my guess.
Walsh is out injured apparently. Ellis is doubtful.
Could easily start for Haughney but like Walsh Kearney has badly struggled to re-capture his 2013 form.
Echo suggests the team is something like:
Nash
C. O’Sullivan
M. Ellis
D. Cahalane (on Callanan)
W. Egan (sweeper)
L. McLoughlin
C. Joyce
C. Murphy
D. Kearney
B. Cooper (roaming midfield/half-forward)
B. Lawton (roaming midfield/half-forward)
C. Lehane
P. Horgan
A. Cadogan
S. Harnedy
Of the backs named there, nearly all of them would be far better suited to the sweeper role than Egan
True, but conversely, you’d fancy almost all of them bar maybe Cormac Murphy to win their individual battles over Egan. We’ll see how Egan goes, he did alright against Galway.
Who are the subs for the backs?
It’s going to be a draw.
Great picture. What’s the venue?
Is it Limerick or Thurles?
