Tonight's TV - Continuation of earlier drivel

I wonder how ?€?€?

He got the ride this week any way the :ram:

Definitely punching above his weight. Bobby Kerr got ould looking.

Bobby was very ill a few years back .

Not even a few years. Hes only back a year Id say

Clare Byrne live has been tough watching tonight. Not that Clare isn’t looking as ravishing as she occasionally can but the content was grim viewing.

A schoolteacher in Cavan went buck-ape and eliminated his entire family of five.

I’d say they have too much time on their hands to be imagining crazy shit.

She handled that excellently i thought and facilitated a very well structured discussion afterwards with very well spoken contributors

It was very tough to watch although you couldn’t look away either. He killed the wife with an axe to the back of the head, the three kids stabbed with a knife. They didn’t say how to killed himself. After killing the wife while she sat in the sitting room he went into the kitchen and wrote five A4 pages of notes, while the kids at this stage slept upstairs oblivious. We then learned he started transferring money from their joint account, presumably so his own family got something out of it. He wrote that he left the family car to his brother, and they’d only just bought it.

Seemingly they were all murdered with incredible brutality/force, so the family are saying him using depression as a cause is a cop out. All they know is he was dreading returning to school the next day from the summer holidays. The family said something about him being caught wanking at school, and watching porn on the school computer. The mother in law also casually dropped in that he liked to wear his wife’s underwear. How she learned this part we don’t know but there seemed to be more behind that which wasn’t revealed to the viewer. Family critisicing guards for no information or help to them basically, quelle surprise.

Hawe killed four people.

He is one of Ireland’s biggest mass murderers - on a par with Mark Nash.

That’s if you look at it like that of course.

I agree largely but from what i got from it he didnt mention depression in the notes, this was a conclusion drawn by some so called expert at the inquest who had never met hawe. The family arent happy with this and i completely agree with them. Where was the evidence from this counsellor he attended and what he/she noted would be of far more significence surely. He seemed like a complete weirdo from the start, like when he insisted on going shopping for the bridesmaids dress with the two sisters.

With the rearrangement of furniture etc and his actions during/after its obvious he was coldly planning this for a long time. Imagine feeling so self important that you feel you are actually saving your family from some sort of embarrassment by brutally murdering them… As farmer says this cunt is right up there with the worst murderers we have ever seen in this country. He cut the wind pipe of the oldest lad so he couldnt scream and alert his brother who slept in the room with him. He wrote notes and transferred money in the middle of and after these barbaric acts. I dont know what term you’d use to describe a person who does this but some so called expert who never met him concluding he suffered from depression that led to a bout of psychosis is not good enough.

It surely must be easy enough to find out exactly what had happened at the school and what was about to happen as a result. Imagine the cunt sitting there eating biscuits and drinking tea with the mother in law knowing that a few hours later he was going to brutally murder her daughter. Imagine one by one drawing a knife across each of your kids throats and brutally murdering them.

Its not possible to imagine in my book but with the obvious planning he put into it all this was no sudden bout of psychosis in my non-expert view. Imagine being so full of your own self importance that its a better option to massacre your whole family than facing up to the consequences of whatever he did. Why didnt the evil bastard just kill himself and be done with it? Sounds like he would have done them all a favour.

Murder suicide like this does occur though, and I can think of many instances of it in Ireland alone.

Is it a separate phenomenon that warrants further investigation as to the cause or is it similar to four brutal unprovoked murders (and unconnected in two instances) as was the case with Mark Nash?

Agreed. Personally speaking i dont see much difference between hawe and nash just becsuse he also killed himself. He maticilously planned and carried out four murders before killing himself. I agree these incidents warrant further investigstion overall though, they’ve become more and more common in ireland in recent years as you say. The ones i know of seem to be for a variety of (perceived) reasons and not just one common theme, except for the carnage

I don’t think you can compare him to Nash. Wasn’t Nash murdering randomers? And did so on different dates and in different locations? I’m not condoning what either done obviously but you are dealing with different mentalities. Hawe murdered his family cos in his head he believed they would have had to live with the shame of his suidice and whatever he did at the school, the rest of their lives. I don’t think Hawe for example was going to strike out and kill randomers in the way Nash did. I would see Nash as a serial killer. I don’t think this guy fits the bill.

Could the wife’s underwear thing be something to blacken his name even further? I see all the tabloids leading with the underwear and porn angle.

It sounds like they’re driving with the angle he was depraved sexually. I don’t know if getting caught wanking at school while watching porn, if it was by a co worker, and whilst unacceptable behaviour, warranted the kind of reaction that unfolded at the end of the summer. There’s got to be something more to it but maybe the school is protecting a victims identity? Pure speculation of course.

That’s fair enough. I would probably think similar but in both instances four innocent people are dead hence I am throwing the comparison out there.

Nash killed two people in a house in Roscommon. His girlfriend’s sister and her partner. For no reason - just all of a sudden he turned. He bashed the girlfriend around but she survived. He was caught and then admitted to the Grangegorman killings in Dublin which occurred months previously and for which another man was charged (who subsequently died). Those two poor women were in their 60s, in psychiatric accomodation and were given a horrendous death. Again, he was walking by the area and just flipped, broke in and bludgeoned them to death with all sorts of mutilation done to them.

Think he said before he had “the devil in him” or something to that effect?

Parallels to this story.

They all say that to try to appear insane.

That was a favourite of Brendan O’Donnell as well.

Ted Bundy said he he had a powerful “unknown force” inside himself guiding him too. The witness who escaped as he was trying to kill her said his eyes had turned totally black. A lot of killers say it.
