Lovely bit here from the woman who sources the songs for Tarantino movies.

Would The Mission be too mainstream Fagan? It’s bloody outstanding. What bugged me was all these cunts after the oscars celebrating Leo ‘finally’ getting an Oscar. When the real standout moment was Ennio’s joy at picking up his statuette.
Listening to a lot of soundtracks these days, more contemporary stuff albeit. Zimmer, Mansell, Horner, Conti, Williams, Jones, Silvestri, etc.
Not at all. The above that I mentioned are all mainstream movies as well I would have thought. The lady that does Movies and Musicals on Saturday lunchtime on lyric does a super line in soundtracks.

Thinking about this coming down in the car.
Great soundtracks
The Glenn Miller Story
Up
Singing in the Rain
Shenandoah
Drugstore Cowboy
Jungle Book
The list is endless. Much of the great modern music is made for films.
