Taste is really really good
Edit - I see it is still closed.
Doolally or Pickle for Indian
777 for Mexican but it’s a bit nightclub vibe
Hang Dai for Chinese.
San Lorenzo - Italian
Canteen in the Marlin
Try here if it’s open
Lovely little Italian
I’ve always found Tapas de Lola to be fairly meh.
I’d agree. Overpriced for what it is.
I was very underwhelmed with 777 when I was there before. The Mexican food scene is very poor in Dublin for a city its size.
It is. There was a half decent spot called Cantina in Dundrum that closed a few years back.
There’s a Peruvian place in the Hard Rock Hotel I was going to try before they turned that hotel into a hospital ward
Yeah I think the fact that it is better than a lot of the tapas places around but it is a very low bar and getting a bill for €70 or €80 for a few tapas and a bottle of wine is all kinds of wrong.
Shanahan’s. Great spot for over priced and underwhelming steak.
The Galway Co Board would love it.
Pinxto is far superior for tapas in my humble opinion.
I’m surprised that Wahaca have never tried to open up a Dublin restaurant.
Plenty of good Mexican places in the UK by contrast. Topolabamba in Glasgow is a serious spot.
I’ve only been to the one on Camden Street and I’d agree although they did overcharge us by about €60 on the bill once but the waitress was mortified so I’d give her the benefit of doubt.
777 is a rip off joint.
Is that Acapulco place still open? Across the road from 777. Nothing too fancy but a fine feed, fit for a Mexican roaster
Fellas would want to have a word with themselves on about “Tapas” and Mexican rubbish.
Go down to Bunsen on Wexford Street or South Anne Street and be done with it. In and out in half an hour.
If your looking to really treat yourself and can afford to waste about an hour waiting for your food, then go to Featherblade on Dawson Street.
You a single man?
Good review. But 226€ for lunch for 2
He was in Gregans Castle for a while
I haven’t been but I hear good things about El Grito on Mountjoy Square
