I have not mate - any use?
The wide open spaces of Cork Harbour.
its unreal, id highly advise hiring a rib in cork ( now dont drive it , there’ll be a skipper) , they’re serious yokes now around 250 HP and head all the way down the river out to Roches Point, dock then in Crosshaven or kinsale on the way back…unreal
a little trivia there… what’s the biggest natural harbour in the world?
I won’t answer as I Googled it but the source I’ve found states that Cork is the 3rd biggest natural harbour

Kaipara in New Zealand
ah shur nobody in cork has heard of that place!
Is the Lee Estuary even the biggest harbour in Ireland? I would have thought Shannon and Foyle Ports would have been bigger.
I spent a summer working in Halifax, Nova Scotia and they used to claim it was one of the biggest harbours in the world. Don’t think it was number 2 though
A heap of places claim to be the second largest

we’re into technicalities here and its a good question,
An estuary AFAIK is where a river meets the open sea, so are we to say that that the Lee estuary starts at Roches Point lighthouse which is the enterance to Cork harbour?? I would think not
The Lee hits open water as it flows out around the Great Island (Cobh), most observers would define the Lee estuary as heading up river past Passage as you head in past Cobh
the RCYC is also the oldest Yacht Club in the world
‘Chocolate Soil’… yes. That’s an image I’d like to evoke at the end of the night when I’m looking for a ride. Ffsake
€45 to eat 6 blobs on small plates in an English chain restaurant. That’s some mugging off.
