Top 10 Irish Restaurants (that spidey visited in a week )

Thanks @TheUlteriorMotive - Metro looks good. The other place isn’t open early enough for us.

@glasagusban - Bachelors Walk not an option unfortunately as we need to be heading towards Stephens Green.

@Spidey - Bow Lane doesn’t appear to open until 4pm, is that right?

Cafe sofia at bottom of Wexford st do good value for money breakfast and think there’s a pancake place too facing the entrance of the college. Used to be a French crepe place - was tasty.

@carryharry - what’s a daycent option for pub grub in Thurles?

The Top 10 restaurant thread has been reduced to a discussion on pub grub in Thurles

If there was a Thurles-centric thread, rest assured I would have utilized it

Is this place still open? Central and better than decent pub grub at more or less the same price. Was probably the best place to eat in Thurles.

Mitchel House or Mrs Croghs

From the Cashel Hans’s?

Likely to be outstanding in that case

Yes. An offshoot. Like yourself, I am a big fan of the Cashel mother ship.

Hard to tell online if Thurles is open.

They used to do a lovely carvery in the Shopping Centre in Thurles there at one stage. Not sure if its still going.

If your in the Thurles area though head out to The Horse and Jockey altogether. I love that place.

You’re not known for your high standards in carveries in fairness.

Not for a good while now. I would class Stef Hans and Mitchell House a bit above pub grub

The Anner would be another option.

Tonight?

All jokes aside, Horse & Jockey is the best option locally
