@ChocolateMice & @TreatyStones have either of you eaten in La Piccola in the City. Am going to treat my mum to a nice pre Xmas dinner and am thinking of going here
Didn’t get chatting to him, pal.
Yes- It’s fine- not amazing but the food is good. The mushroom starter is daycent. The owners are sound out…
The food is nice and reasonably priced. I’m not sure it’s in the “special treat” category though.
thanks, you’re a star
Ok mate. I’ll just assume that s/he, or one of the other members of staff, did. Odd that they wouldn’t make the fries on the premises though.
where would you recommend?
The chicken hut. They’re famous for their gravy chips. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, their “curry” chips.
How much do you like your mother?
The Railway Hotel does a mean Chicken Maryland
The swans were cavorting under the moonlight on the glistening canal outside. It’s indisputably a lovely setting, mate
Feel free to go with that assumption, mate. You could always ring them or call by if you want to get the complete background story and reasoning to put your mind at ease.
its two weeks to Xmas. Lets not go overboard. 40 euro a head for three courses give or take
You are a wonderfully evocative facilitator of the mind’s eye.
If she likes Italian her options are limited enough… Bella Italia is only ok also and the Italian up by Mount Kenneth is closed for renovations I think.
You can’t go wrong with Freddy’s Bistro tho at this time of year it will be very busy and it’s small enough… The Azur next to the Locke bar was good the last time I ate there but that was a year ago.
Azur is decent, down beside the Locke. Very good value Early Bird Menu too.
The chicken hut “family box meal” is highly popular and would strike the right tone as a gesture given the time of year, mate. Otherwise the Cornstore.
who the fuck asked you?
You are dealing with a lad who describes players on his local GAA team as “the good no 11”
a complete simpleton
