Yes. Roma are my team. The EPL is a mercenary league.
A specialist in failure.
In Italy they reward Specialists in Failure with the Enzo Bearzot Coach of the Year award. Napoli coach Sarri, who has never won a trophy in his long managerial career got it last season. This season the Coach of the Year award went to di Francesco who has just presided over AS Roma’s 10th consecutive season without a trophy.
Sometimes it’s the taking part that counts.
It really is exciting news for Spurs that we could have such a recent title winning manager at the helm next season. I haven’t been this excited about a prospective managerial appointment since we got George Graham.
Do they hand out Manager of the Year in Italy like the way they handed out All Star hurling awards to goalkeepers in the '00’s?
It would seem so. James McGarry would never have made it in Italy.
Di Francesco probably made more aaves than mcgarry.
You must regret the many thousands of Chelsea related posts
so Sean Dyche shouldn’t get manager of the year?
is that at odds with your previous statements?
That’s the @Cicero_Dandi criteria. In his book all managers are held to the same standard. If they don’t win a trophy its failure.
so you think he should win the award?
Yes. I said that last week. Sean Dyche is my choice as manager of the season.
A no brainer really
Ranieiri won the league with a similar budget to Dyche.
All that will happen Dyche is the fans and owners will now have ridiculous expectations and if they are in the bottom half of the league next season they will want him out.
I’d say he won manager of the year as well
Pep is clearly manager of the year. Anyone winning the league by that much should win manager of the year. Manager of the year for finishing 7th
