Tottenham Hotspur, the Ryan Mason variant

Crystal Palace winning at West Ham today sees us drop to 15th and into the Bottom 6 ahead of the big relegation 6 pointer at Goodison tomorrow. We’re also now the lowest placed of the 7 London teams in the league.

If you’re out walking the dog do another lap of the townland. The situation doesn’t look good at the moment and the Bainisteóir has put on his ā€˜we’re bollixed here’ look with 10 minutes to leath ama.

Tough day for the project, not gonna lie

Not our day mate

Spurs are getting into setting 40 points as their target

Cheers for the update mate. Out with kids for the afternoon. Not in the least bit surprised.

The Moyes effect

Big Ange in situe as of this morning. We’ve lost 12 out of 22 league games so far. When we were last relegated in 1976/77 we only lost 11 of first 22 and had 23 points on the board at that stage compared to 24 points currently.

A huge relegation 6 pointer at home to Leicester next. Leicester have lost their last 7 league games but will fancy their chances here. If we lose to Leicester, we’re right in the thick of the relegation battle and there’s every chance we’ll go down.

We are down to the bare bones, two teenagers starting yesterday and six more teenagers on the bench. Solanke and Brendan Johnson both out for a few weeks now as well it seems.

Shocking abuse to Son from the spurs fans the other day.

Brennan Johnson (think Brennan’s batch) here…

That was in the two points for a win days. Long before Wikipedia existed I was keenly aware that Tottenham Hotspurs had finished bottom of the First Division table in 1976/77, as for some reason there was a Waddington’s Top Trumps English Football 1976/77 game lying around the classroom in my national school, and we used to play it.

That was back in the days when we used to associate the word Trump with positive things like brilliant card based, statistics based games for children.

It would have been around the time Donald Trump was drawing out Leeds United v Manchester United in the 1991/92 Rumbelows Cup quarter-final draw.

Spurs had flirted with relegation a few times prior to going down in 1976/77. Stayed up by 1 point in 1974/75. Beat Chelsea 2-0 towards the end of that season in the ultimate relegation 6 pointer which saw us stay up and Chelsea go down.

Back then, a team in a rut could actually be relegated as happened to Man U in 1973/74 as well. Now the crisis/rock bottom seasons for the big clubs ultimately seems to end up in a 7th or 8th place finish.

Sorry, to be pedantic, but that would have been a relegation ā€œfour pointerā€?

Very true!

There was some dust up afterwards when the Chelsea Headhunters kicked off and the Yid Army responded in kind. One of the earlier serious episodes of hooliganism.

Antonio Conte sits 1st in Serie A.

Jose Mourinho sits 2nd in the Süper Lig.

Nuno EspĆrito Santo sits 3rd in the Premier League.

I love how Vardy loves sticking it to spurs

Ange will be gone by morning. Ryan Mason will get another chance to lose a League Cup final.

I’m a big admirer but that’s an appalling result as Leicester are no good. He’s going to have to weather it and should probably not get too snarky with the reporter. I think the ceiling of the project is very high so Levy will stay with him. Injuries notwithstanding @ChairmanDan 's concerns are being borne out.

It could be curtains for Flange.
