It really isn’t that rough that you’d need worry about street parking around John’s Square but if genuinely concerned, there’s a cheap enough pay parking lot walking distance :

The Courthouse Public Car Park

Would you not just park on Mulgrave St near Jerry O’Deas/the prison and walk up Rossa Avenue?
East to drive to and from

Limerick sounds an incredibly dangerous place to visit for a match.

There’s history there though with visiting supporters, wasn’t there hi-jinx with a few Dubs back in the day.
Allegations of shelling with Dutch Gold cans or some tomfoolery like that. Only chiselers mind….

If I were you Corkie I’d get tooled up for the trip.

Shamrock Rovers rocked up at Rathbane a few years back, giving it the big ‘un.

They were ran from a quiet local public house called The Steering Wheel in jig time. Back pedalled back up the M7 faster than Paddy Cullen against Kerry.

Ah yes, this has been mentioned here before. A forumite had a fortuitous brush with serious injury that day.*

  • May be apocryphal

Park anywhere, Mulgrave Street or even up by the train station,
You’ll have no hassle whatsoever

On reflection, I’m not sure if the M7 had even been built then but the point still stands.

Never to be forgotten

Can’t remember who it was but there used to be a poster afraid to park in Limerick that used to drive from the county to Raheen and get the bus in so that’s always an option

My in-laws live around there @Corksfinedtboy. It’s reasonably safe tbh.

Can your dog put out fires etc. etc.

No in this case fortunately

Fuck

Appreciate that boy thanks :+1:

Listen lad anyone telling you shite about the area around the Markets Field is talking through their holes. The trouble that flared the last time had nothing to do with locals a, only a few stoned young fellas from elsewhere. That trouble happened at the Track bar side so if you park on Mulgrave street towards the horse and hound youll be fine
