TTK's Profitable Selections 2012

Lovely

Advice please. Have two legs of a treble up. Need Toulouse to win by 12 or less for about 500 quid. Let it ride?

I hedged out on the 4 timer by getting the other side for a few quid, you should probably do similar or wait for the handicap to move your way and have a chance of copping both sides. Wouldn’t surprise me to see Leicester win this in a low scoring game though.

As concerned by Tou winning by too much. I think Tigers are average haven’t been v impressed when iv seen em. Waldron at 7. Cheers anyways. Might wait and see IR

Fair play ttk. You were blessed Myler couldn’t kick though. 1 from 6 was it? Madness. Nice few quid I’d say though.

Yeah blessed in a big way Mac, Glasgow went 15-0 up after 18 minutes and didn’t score again! Could have been anything as Northampton crushed them. Myler was woeful, missed two from straight in front of the posts! €100 fourfold returned €1328.33 but I hedged €300 of that.

:o :o :o

OMG. Wow. PP have just gone up with handicaps for next weekends games. I have to get on three of them ASAP, will post them later. Take a look you should notice the one’s I’m backing.

Hurry up

Here they are reasoning later, typed out properly for that pedantic prick DanCarter

Bet 146
Glasgow v Ulster (-4) 5 points 10/11 PP

Bet 147
Scarlets v Leinster (-4) 5 points 10/11 PP

Bet 148
Saracens (-6) v Racing Metro 4 points 10/11 PP

Bet 148

3 point treble on the above, pays 5.96/1.

Now wasn’t that easy

Think the Sarries one could move well into double figures if/when RM name a second string. Fair play to PP for taking an early view here

Had a treble on Clermont, Sarries and Ulster to win their pools last week @ 13/10 & 2x 11/8 so happy enough with the start iv had.

Think Munster are massive value now though at 11/4 with PP. two BP wins over Edinburgh another over RM in limerick would mean they probably just need to win the Saracens head to head 5-4 to give themselves a chance of topping pool, same pts means winner of H2H wins pool…still fancy Sarries but will be having a covering bet on Munster I think

That treble looks most tempting. Boyles have Leinster (-3) at 10/11 but Saracens (-8) are 10/11 with them.

Why are Saracens playing that game in Brussels? Do you think it’ll make any difference TKK? It’s putting some doubt in my mind to be honest.

Saracens playing all their home games in neutral grounds. Had hoped to play against Munster in New York that fell through.

Toulon handicap is -5 away to Cardiff. Looks tempting. Thoughts TTK?

I think bookies are pricing the Leinster match wrongly for two reasons. One being the performance last week against Exeter (who to give them credit are not a bad side at all, even DC backed them to win that one!!) and the Rabo meeting between the two earlier in the season. It’s dangerous to take both of those results at face value, Leinster need to win and win well to keep their hopes of a QF place alive and they have been the best team in Europe by miles for the past two seasons, they will win by 10+. Sarries are having a new home built so all their home games are scattered around the place, this is the only one they will have abroad though. Shouldn’t make too much of a difference to them especially given Metro’s injury list and the fact that they will be severely weakened for the game.

Know nothing about rugby but I’ve gone for Glasgow, Scarlets and Saracens as tipped. Hope it works out now.

  You know well, you smart hoeur. Blame DC! :shakefist:

Wouldn’t be massively concerned about Saracens playing in Brussels. Well used to playing a few home games a season in Wembley so won’t hold any fear for them. There will be no RM fans there anyways I’d imagine considering the turnout for the home game they had at the weekend.

One slight concern might be the fact they have two away Top14 games on the trot coming up, neither of which they would prob ordinarily be putting out full sides for. Fact they are on Sat and Thurs though means they might pick first team this weekend, and rotate for the two domestic games. Not sure how they will work it to be honest but it’s something to be aware of. They are poor anyways. Munster could/should have been 17-0 up if POC had scored and only poor mistakes left them back into game. And I’d consider Munster to be average enough to be honest.

They are playing Munster at home I think, obv taking no chances.

Toulon looked great at times last weekend and squad is so big I think the 4 points looks v attractive.

Ulster by 11 points. 19-8 :pint: A really good win in awful conditions. A lot of big teams would not have come out of there with a win Ulster showed their class. A great result in France too as Castres beat Northampton, meaning Ulster are in a serious position now to top the group and gain a home quarter final. I’d say they will be about 7/1 outright now too.

One down, two to go.

You can get Leinster at -3 now at 5/6 against Scarlets, still worth a bet i presume? No injury concerns?
