Can someone explain to me the story with this weeks Premier League fixtures. Are they only available on Amazon or what’s the story? Will the pubs even have them?

:+1::+1::+1:

Yes, free to amazon prime customers. The weeks midweek fixtures and all games on the 26th/27th of December. None on TV as far as I know.

Amazon had looked to partner with Channel 4 to show Liverpool Everton to try and lighten the demand on their platform and the FA wouldn’t allow them.

But the pubs man!!!

Assume they can stream the games if they have a prime membership

On his new role, Dunphy said: “I’m delighted to be back with John and Liam, they’re great lads. I’m a big fan of Ivan, he’s a brilliant broadcaster. He’s also a Manchester City fan so we will have a good bit of craic with him if Burnley beat them on Tuesday.”

How to watch

You can tune in via your phone or tablet by downloading the Prime Video app, or on your laptop by visiting the Amazon Prime website.

Can you watch Amazon Prime matches on your TV?

Yes, Premier League fans with Smart TVs can watch via the Prime Video app. Games consoles, Amazon’s Fire TV stick and BT or Virgin boxes can also be used to find the Prime Video app.

Can you watch for free?

The matches are free for existing Prime members and new customers can sign up for a 30-day trial - enough to cover all matches shown on Prime - which includes access to Prime Delivery and other benefits. After the trial, Prime membership costs £7.99 per month or a £79 for a year.

Will Amazon Prime matches be shown in the pub?

Amazon Prime has partnered with BT Sport to make sure pubs can show matches.

Landlords and landladies with BT boxes can purchase an Amazon Premier League pass and will be able to choose which games to show.

What will the TV coverage consist of?

Amazon have pulled out all the stops to give every match dedicated coverage.

Alongside the studio in Stratford, there will be presenters at each stadium and a crew numbering over 2,000 with 350 cameras to bring the action to your living room.

Who are the pundits on Amazon Prime?

Scores of household names are putting their BBC, Sky or BT Sport responsibilities in the studio or commentary box to one side for a blockbuster three days of Premier League action.

The team in the studio at Old Trafford is particularly eye-catching, with Peter Schmeichel, Dimitar Berbatov, Glenn Hoddle and Harry Redknapp all expected to feature.

Thierry Henry and Peter Crouch are expected at Anfield for the Merseyside Derby. Elsewhere, Match of the Day’s Alan Shearer, Gabby Logan and Jermaine Jenas are also booked.

The team presenting Goal Centre - which will be broadcast until 30 minutes before kick off - includes Robbie Savage, Dion Dublin, Joe Cole and Tim Sherwood.

Commentary boxes up and down the country will be filled with the likes of Clive Tyldesley, Guy Mowbray and Connor McNamara - and many others.

What else can we expect on Amazon Prime coverage?

Amazon plan to use Spidercams - often used in European football, cricket and rugby - to provide a unique bird’s-eye view of matches. These cameras hang 10 metres above ground level on wires attached to the four corners of the stadium.

Broadcasting will also include live Opta stats, key replays and line-up details - similar to BT Sport’s Enhanced Player feature.

Three-minute highlight reels of each match will be uploaded shortly after the full-time whistle, while extended half-hour highlights will be released at midnight.
