TV Rights, best avoided

Definitely the biggest. It will eat itself

Don’t think so - the Ireland teams always had a massive support for 6N and always had a decent tv audience

Interest in the provinces has tapered a bit but they will continue to do ok

Big danger to rugby is middle class parents being worried about injuries

If Ireland soccer team improve interest will be 100 times more than its rugby counterparts.

Ergo a bandwagon

Not that it’ll affect playing numbers at grassroots. That’ll be fine. Can’t see TV rights getting substantially more than current unless it goes behind the paywall, which will cause a drop of interest also. Operational costs for the pro game rising and their is a big cloud hanging over with concussions in former pro players. I don’t expect it to be as big in ireland as England or France but may be a big payout. I struggle to see the sustainable business model continuing for 10 more years at the current rate of increased costs and I struggle to see the additional revenue streams to pay for it

I’d say with the demographic asked here, very little would change.

Have to disagree. Support for irish rugby team is very D4 centric.

Rugby in Ireland is dockers and bankers side by side in the trenches #teamofus.

ah, if only Declan had his hand in it Women’s Volleyball would have ranked high

Soccer in Eire is largely a bandwagon . The national team if going well draws huge interest & lifts the nation .

The ROI support is largely ambivalent to domestic league and most interest is centred on teams in UK cities

The clubs in the state’s 2nd , 3rd , 4th & 5th cities will next season compete in the 2nd tier of the LOI

“soccer” is level with the 4 GGA sports combined & this is a survey run by a company associated with the GGA

did you see the passion @Fran & @caulifloweredneanderthal showed when arguing over a foul in an EPL game mate?

thats footix passion is not bandwagonism

Very solid results for rugby football. The 6 Nations remains the consistent favourite in Ireland.

Is that the two soccers?

Reads very poorly for the “Greatest Hurling Team of All Time”.

Money can buy you success but not popularity it seems. I like this Limerick team but it seems they are despised by the vast majority
