Few mins highlights of each game on TSG should suffice
On a Tuesday night.
The only good football game i have seen this year is the schools final between Nass and Brendans. Football at club, county and college levels is a hard watch at the moment. Maybe Kerry and Dublin best of 5 would be an option.
You want your head examined to be sitting in on a nice day watching that scutter
I turned it off about 10 minutes. Woeful stuff.
In relation to the Ulster Final there seems to be a massive difference of opinion between those who were at the game and those watching on TV.
Reminds me of the Club football final this year which most people watching on TV thought was horrendous fare, but those actually at it would have recognized it was an incredible occasion.
I remember something similar being said about the Tipp v KK 2013 Qualifier - those watching on TV thought it was a bad match, while those at it knew it was the greatest inter county hurling occasion of all time.
The Ulster final looked ok to me. Of course if you were watching it with Marty and that pox McStay telling you how shite it was every 2 minutes you’d be inclined to think it was an awful spectacle. Thankfully I took @Cheasty s advice and switched over to BBC where they were bigging it up.
You’d want your head examined to be expecting to be entertained by an intercounty gaelic football game.
It’s about winning not entertainment.
The only teams worth watching are Dublin and Kerry. On non hurling weekends i barely watch football anymore.
Dublin and Kerry were worth watching last weekend? Would you away and shite.
I’ve enjoyed watching Derry this year. They have some lovely footballers and a nice bit of cut about them.
Not last weekend obviously but the only 2 teams who try and play good football.
A great finish to a match obliterates the memory of sub-standard fare which led up to it.
Germany v Italy 2006 is remembered as a classic despite being two minutes away from being remembered as yet another World Cup knockout dirge.
Thats more rubbish. Plenty of teams lower down try play good football. Wicklow for example. Longford as well. You’re talking out your hole. Thankfully Laois are in Division 4 next year so we’ll see how football should really be played week in week out.
You have Wicklow and Longford on a regular basis? Wicklow scored 10 points and Longford 12 the weekend.
Yep, I’ve seen them both play the past 12 months. Just because they didnt put up big scores last weekend doesn’t mean they dont try to play good football, which is what you said.
To me the Ulster Final is about intensity. No quarter asked or given.
It’s always been like that in recent memory anyway.
And then compare it to Leinster and Munster where it’s completely clear that Dublin and Kerry are now bored with it.
