It’s an awful pity that we won’t have another significant game until Euro 2028. The Euro qualifiers will be a fairly relaxed affair given the near certainty of qualification regardless.
Jesus I don’t know about that. Reading back my breakdown of the permutations above we could very easily struggle to qualify. Certainly could see ourselves wales and Scotland not having it easy and there being some huge matches to make it through.
Is is,we had training (Gaa) with the young lads 11/12/13 on Thursday night and all they were talking about was the match and Troy Parrott.Kids need their heros and right now the Ireland team and Troy were the ones.

You think in 2 years that the tv ratings would be exactly the same but streaming would be another 800k?
Obviously soccer is more popular so more streams.
Soccer fans more likely to be watching RTE on a dodgy box too

Indeed but whichever way you slice it, The Rugby viewership is more valuabe to advertisers as those lads will have multiples of the income of the soccer/football fan.
@Bandage will follow soccer and CGA hurling/football as a successful chartered accountant/rural school principal whereas @Time Riggins is a partner in Deloitte or KPMG. This is the high end example as well.

Check out my post that’s rocked LinkedIn & caused professional ramifications for myself not seen since I verbally abused Shane Lowry on Twitter. We need to make football & investment in football a political issue (cc Aodhán O’Riordáin) & if that means us middle classes rocking the professional classes then so be it. Maybe my “Rubby is played by, watched by & sponsored by cunts” line was on the strong side but we need to fight for sparse funding.

By God, so you are going teaching.
The ABC1 demographic will never desert the rubby but there is a slow creep of GGA in affluent areas as upwardly mobile types like the @Bandage of this world are spreading the gospel in Crokes, Cuala, Clontarf, Monaleen, Douglas etc. The rise of the Gaelscoil will lead to middle class ghettos in these suburbs. Soccerball will be confined to da flats

Agree and the next big issue might be they’ll want a pro hurling league for the Fiachtna and Blaithinn to play in if they don’t get the points for medicine or law in Trinity. Could be a break away league even, we could get the Cuala Thunder against the Monaleen Red Bulls in the PRO12 hurling final.
Listening to Tommy O’Brien last night, he could only do one of 3 things, pro rugby, law or factory owner.

Streaming is the same as tv viewers in modern world.
Football grips the nation like nothing else, hard to believe this is even up for discussion. A football play off semi final > smugby quarter final. Know your place rugby scum
