Yeah well I’m always here to explain things in as a spoiler free way as possible. But I guess its best to just see it as a big nation-state struggle between 5 major powers (and a few smaller ones) all with their own different strengths, cultures and weaknesses, and then try to work on the intricacies that flow out of the struggle beyond that.
Summed it up nicely Turenne. I have no idea whats gonna happen plotwise but I know what its about and who the main players are as well as the locations from reading up on it.
Made it far more worthwhile for me anyway.
Thought it was a great episode as well. Tyrion my favourite character by far in the series. One of my housemates has been reading the books and apparently there are 6 or 7 of them so they must be cutting a huge amount of the original storyline. Very well made show so far though. Good actors, well shot, great production. It looks as good as boardwalk empire and it was the characters and plot to go with it.
I watched the second ep of GoT. Another great episode, one thing non spoiler to mention about the first two so far, the character of Melisandre, I never pictured her looking like that, fucking savage bird.
This is a book spoiler, so unless you’ve read it, dont open it, probably will be dealt with in the next episode anyway.
Am pretty sure they deviated a bit from the book wrt Stannis and Melisandre fucking though right? Not sure it happened like that in the book, but I presume this is to explain the “shadow” she gives birth to that kills Renly
lol yes, yes they did deviate MBB. Need to get that T&A ratio in for every episode though.
They were doing ok with Theon on the wench scene to be fair

Have watched the two episodes now. Seems to be shaping up nicely. I think Baelish is a great character, as is the hobbit of the Lannister’s. I’m finding it really hard to remember the names & titles of the characters though, is anyone else experiencing this? I’d imagine it would be much easier had you read the book.
Yeah if you haven’t read the books it would be fairly confusing. Any particular problems Totti?

Yeah they are fucked alright, megaupload and rapidshare have been nuked for example, think they are after mediafire as well. Bit of a disaster, I do all my downloading through these sites. Fucking Americans have to ruin everything.
There was an article on a US sitcom called Community in the Guardian today. Just watched the first episode there, it seems pretty darn good. Anyone watch it?
CLD and I are big fans. Great show imo.
It was very good for a while. Started to become a bit shit mid way through the second series and its decline has been fairly steady since, other than the season two finale which was superb.

You still watching? Thought it had made a recovery of late. Any supposed decline balanced out imo by the ridiculously high starting point. The Goodman character intrigues. I see Chase has gone off deep end lately.
Watched the first one after it came back. Didn’t think it was any better than the start of the series so gave up on it then. I think it’s pretty shit now - lost whatever it had that made it funny.
Yeah, it was very good, then it died a death.
Seemed like they ran out of ideas.
The 2nd season Christmas episode was my favourite. Top notch TV.
