Walton Goggins is some bucko in it.

Finished off the latest season of Slow Horses and enjoyed it a lot. Feels like they always deliver a fantastic season-ender. Gary Oldman is a joy to watch but Jonathan Pryce steals every scene he’s in and portrays a very accurate depiction of worsening dementia. Maybe it’s because that’s been a topic I’ve come into personal contact with in the last couple of years though.

Agreed Pryce has been excellent in it for the bit part he has while Oldman is sensationally cast and scripted. He delivers these witty lines with such aplomb. I think the actor that plays River Cartwright has been great in it too he binds it all together. It’s a really excellent show and the quality seems to get better each season. I was sure this was to be the last but I see they’ve already got the next one in the bag.

They seem to get everything produced and edited very quickly but I suppose that’s the benefit of 6 episode a season. Bit more comedy in it this year I thought but they didn’t overdo it either. Be interesting to see how much it changes with the showrunner no longer involved in the project but I think they stay very close to the Herron source material so wouldn’t expect a dip in quality.

Saoirse Ronan’s husband. He seems to have a few American movie roles coming up so he’s a man in demand

Two more I think. New showrunner coming up.

Jack Lowden

This fella is great as well:

Is Tulsa King any good?
Seems to be very popular in the torrents.
Sylvester would go through you at the best of times.

What’s mocking is catching :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Based on this thread, I finally watched the second episode of The Shield last night. I’d watched the first episode during COVID times I reckon and fully intended to get back to it.

That and Deadwood are now the two shows I want to finish out. And then I’ll start Boardwalk Empire

Deadwood is brilliant. Carnivale is also a savage show.HBO had some absolutely brilliant shows back in the early 00s

Deadwood is great viewing and after fearing the very worst I thought the film from a few years back was enjoyable. Forum-fave Timothy Olyphant is great stuff.
