Is it ?? It always struck me as a nice place . That said it in an awful underachieving GAA town which is never a great sign
It is a garrison town and very protestant which might be why they were never good at GAA traditionally. However they are making major in roads underage and in their first season up senior last year beat Castlehaven in the senior football championship.
On the social side of things there is not one decent pub in the town or restaurant. When the local delicacy is a carvery from the Amber petrol station itâs not a great sign. There are 2 or 3 nice cafes alright but thatâs about it.
They won both intermediate hurling and football in the same season a few years ago
Ate there no boundaries.
