U-21 Hurling 2018

Starting proper tonight with Offaly/Wexford and Dublin/Kilkenny. Would fancy Wexford by 4 and Kilkenny by 10.

Anyone beyond Kilkenny/Galway/Waterford/Tipp likely to challenge for the AI? Clare and Limerick any good?

Limerick should be very strong on paper.

Got to all Ireland minor final 3 years ago winning Munster in the process.

Sill have Cian/Ronan lynch, Tom Morrissey and a few others.

But it is Limerick…

I fancy cork to win out munster at 7/2. Cracking price. @caoimhaoin would no more about their set up.

Ah we’re ok at the 21’s

Cork are picking from three Minor sides that couldn’t even reach a single Munster final. If they beat a Waterford team featuring Curran, Gleeson and the Bennetts it’ll be a miracle.

Seems like the Lynchs have gone to shit a bit. Or at least Ronan has. Would fancy Waterford or Tipp for Munster, then Clare and Limerick.

Aah ‘gone to shit’ is a bit harsh to say the least

Laois will win Leinster.

Tipp must be utter shit this year 25/1 for AI Kilkenny and Limerick lead the betting at 4/1.

Limerick should be strong but it will depend on how they go at senior as 10/11 of the team will be involved . They have good minors from last year (Kyle Hayes at centre back and Brian Ryan Half forward) to bolster the team. Potentially they could have all three matches at home if they win through and if Cork were to beat Waterford.

They were Tipp’s worst ever Minor team 3 years ago. Minors in 15 and 16 were good but likely to be too young to be competitive at u21 this year

Kilkenny have a nice draw. Dublin at home, Wexford at home if we face them.
Leinster winners face Ulster winners. And this Kilkenny team won AI Minor in 2014.

Worthy enough favourites but our U21s haven’t been making much of an impact in the last few years.

How do you conclude either has gone to shit?

I warned them mate, I warned them. They wouldn’t listen though. Underage titles arent worth a fuck.

Ronan hasn’t gone to shit just isn’t the player some people built him into. Gifted stick man.

Are Westmeath in it this year?

Clare’s setup is a total shambles. Will be a miracle if they pull a win out of the year.

Leinster QFs are tonight.
