Whoâs the ref?
Sorry about that pal Dublin steadied up a bit in the second half. Probably deserved to win but could have been caught. About 10 mins to go and sides level a Westmeath forward Mitchell I think got in one on one with the keeper but got hooked. Dublin went straight down the field and Feargal Whitley got a point. Small margins
Any reports from a galway fan actually at The game tonight?
Ha youâre alright - iâll get over it.

Exceptionally strong u21 team and worthy AI favourites.
Tipp will struggle this year. 10/11 for Limerick to win is a gift
Bench isnât great. Only really have the bare 16/17 players.
Are these games on TG4?
I know tomorrow nights one id
Both are .
Why can senior panellists play U21 hurling but senior panelistâs canât play U20 football?
Itâs a strange one. A weak county at senior level, lacking squad depth, is probably more likely to use U20 players than a settled team. Although I did see Kerry cribbing about being without Clifford. So you had the likes of Wexford being without their supposedly strongest 3 or 4 U20 players in the game against Dublin last weekend as they had played for the seniors. I donât think Dublin lost any of their players to the senior team. That said, the counties voted for it apparently.
The lack of joined up thinking in the GAA never fails to astound me

Dublin did lose Evan Comerford the goalkeeper but you are correct. This rule favors the stronger counties who generally have far less need to play u20âs. Crazy Stuff.
On top of this, the main reason cited by Paraic Duffy for moving Minor from u18 to u17 was to avoid Leaving Cert Students being distracted by County Football. Then they moved u21 to u20 and recreated the same problem except on a larger scale as almost all Leaving Cert Students are either 18 or 19. Hurling is going to follow suit next year. A complete clusterfuck.
Because hurling is enjoyable to play.
