That was a decent tussle. Westmeath started to gas after 40 mins but there was nothing in it before that. Mitchell and Doyle in the half-forward line and Steve Earle in goal were impressive.

To be fair to Eddie Brennan this crop doesn’t look great .

Also I really enjoyed tonight’s game .

They won an All-Ireland at minor level three years ago and a good lot of them are on the senior panel. Now I know having lads on a senior panel can disrupt preparations but Brennan hasn’t shown anything to suggest he’s a competent coach.

They were average enough 3 years ago when they won what was to be honest a poor enough minor championship . Limerick were utterly awful in that final . The 2013 championship was a higher standard by far .

I agree with you on Brennan but my point stands .

We overhyped ourselves after destroying a poor Galway side,Kilkenny at all levels know how to get the job done in a final.

Even still, we should have won. We had a better team than them.

But they still had some very good players, I don’t know if the 2013 Championship was actually stronger. I’m convinced that we had a better team in 2014 (even without English, O’Donovn & Dempsey) and Kilkenny were definitely stronger in 2014 too. Waterford were worse, but we beat them in 2013 too.
