Yep. No way Bayern are coming back from that. If they had Robben maybe they’d have a chance but for all Guardiola’s hype he hasn’t improved them beyond a team that too frequently depend too much on Robben.
I’d depend on Robben as well. He’s god
Absolutely. An unbelievably good player. But with their resources, their luxury of concentrating on European football, their virtually unlimited access to any German player they want - they should be building a more cohesive team.
Is Xabi Alonso better than Kroos? Is Thiago better than Javi Martinez? They should be capable of being more resilient than that. It’s not just that they lose the odd game, they seem to collapse reasonably frequently.
Took Dunphy a whole second to have a dig at Ronaldo there
It’s cool to like Messi again. It was quite cool to slag him off for a while there on this forum.
Ruby Walsh and Shefflin.
Maloneys face when Dunphy started mentioning Walsh, McCoy and Shellfin:D
Eamo needs to freshen up his list. 3 of the 4 have retired now.
hopefully bonucci breaks that little drugs cheat legs early doors if we get to the final
Gilesy comparing Billy Bremner to Messi now
i have said this before but my god i would fucking love it if Juve can win this
There is something right about an Italian team in a European Cup final and the 30 years after Heysel is just another factor

He’ll bottle another 2 or 3 World Cups before he retires.
There’s been alarming regression in Europe for Bayern since Guardiola took over. Under Heynckes they were in the final in 2012 & 2013 accounting for Real Madrid at the semi final stage in 2012 and Barcelona to the tune of 7-0 in 2013. Barcelona could yet emulate the 5-0 aggregate semi final hiding that Real Madrid dished out to Bayern last year.

There was an Italian team in the final 20 years after Heysel too.
Liverpool and Juventus also renewed rivalries that year.
I’d class both occurrences as “right”.
The record was put straight.
