Uk affairs, The Double Lizzie Crisis (Part 1)

is he backable dunph?

You can get even money Cameron and even money Milliband to be next leader of the UK. It is of course a shoot off between the two. @Raymond Crotty is the man to advise but IMO Cameron is a very solid bet in a two horse race between him and that gimp Milliband.

I watched some of this shadow-boxing between featherweights and by fuck that browned bastard Miliband is a worthless fucker. He’s pissing into a hurricane if he thinks he’ll get a Labour majority, but yet eschews any form of support from the Junior B champions the SNP. Nicola put in a bravura performance but it’s looking like Cameron will hose home.
The Miliband cunt is a sort of an Inda Kinny lite, laughing and waffling - no substance or forward planning to the hoor. He badly needs a Sean Doherty figure in the background to sort the matter out.

Milliband isn’t even the best politician in his own family. Himself and the brother had a big falling out when Ed decided to take David on for the Labour leadership battle when the brother seemed a better candidate. Ed couldn’t watch his brother do better than him, probably has had a chip on his shoulder all his life trying to best the brother. They then proceeded to throw shit at each other so that’s another reason i can’t see the brits vote a majority for a fella stabbing his own brother in the back, what else is he capable of then.

He doesn’t need a majority

a backstabbing, stuttering useless gimp who never worked a day in his life like all those labour/green party party wasters, with no understanding of the real world. it would be Economic suicide to vote Labour

Red Ed is going to be the next PM, take it to the bank.

Straightforward question. If every commentator seems to agree that Ed Miliband is a weakling and a bluffer and that David Miliband would have been a far better choice as Labour leader, then how come David Miliband wasn’t a clear winner in the last leadership contest?

Because David was a Blarite and the rank and file wanted a more left wing candidate, Ed had the trade unions backing.

Neither will win a majority. All depends on how the smaller parties fare then.
SNP could hold the balance of power and they can’t go in with the Conservatives.

This is the nub. The figures do not add up for Cameron, he needs a big shift over the next few weeks, which is why I’m surprised he chickened out of last nights debate.

Because the trade union block vote supported Ed over his brother. Because he was more lefty.

Tories are making a mistake by being too defensive on their record. they need to sell the positives more.

Boris for Taoiseach

The Labour Party were trying to be more left wing? Madness. Aneurin bevan must be turning in his grave.

That’s what was needed to get elected. Mrs Thatcher moved Labour to the centre. One of her greatest achievements.

More the all powerful medias doing that labour became a right wing party than Maggie I’d say. The ed miliband thing was probably to bring them back towards the centre to differentiate them from the Tories in some way.

In Scotland there are 59 seats. Labour currently have 40, Lib Dems 11, SNP 6. The SNP could go up to around 40 with Labour on 12 or so.

Given that Labour are going to lose a shed load of seats in Scotland, they’re going to have to gain at least 35-40 seats from the Tories in marginal constituencies in England just to get ahead of them and have first go at forming a government. That’s a tough ask as UKIP supporters are going to come back to the Tories in droves in those marginal constituencies. There’s going to be chaos after the election and whoever ends up PM will probably be leading a minority government. You could end up with something like the Tories/Lib Dems being propped up by the DUP.

Current state of the parties:

Conservative 302
Labour 256
Liberal Democrat 56
Democratic Unionist 8
Scottish National 6
Independent 5
Sinn Fein 5
Plaid Cymru 3
Social Democratic & Labour Party 3
UK Independence Party 2
Alliance 1
Green 1
Respect 1
Speaker 1

Total number of seats 650
Working Government Majority
73
