Tories hold Guildford, crushing the Lib Dems, amazing, unreal, we also hold east surrey, what a way to start the day
the Pound up against the euro 3 cent since I went to bed
Did you not jump ship and throw in your lot with Farage?
Conservative majority is now odds on with most bookmakers. You could’ve had 5/1 about 20 minutes ago
Did you not jump ship and throw in your lot with Farage?
I’m a tory at heart, this is the greatest day of my life. This feels very 1997 - that sense of moving into a new exciting period.
Labout have held the Gower for 100 years, the Tories have just taken it by 27 votes
That’s tremendous news.
Bradford West, Galloway is toast, he’s gone
On the contrary. Only IRA/SF and SDLP saw their share of the vote decline in Northern Ireland. That’s been a feature of the nationalist/republican share of the vote for a number of elections now despite the sectarian head count in censuses. There’s a large silent majority of Catholics who clearly favour staying in the Union. Dave should call for a Scotland style referendum so that this silly nonsense of the North merging with Éire can be defeated and parked for a few generations just like the Scottish question was conclusively decided last September.
I am gutted for her. A true scouser. It ruined my night.

Deeply sorry to Labour candidates in Scotland

There is a glass of whiskey and a revolver waiting for him down in london
The Union doesn’t want itself let alone some sectarian backwater in a different country, whatever ‘large silent majority’ who want to remain with it or not. You are missing the fundamental truth of tonight’s election. The UK is finished as a political entity.
No sign of any roasters firing winning candidates into the air like wild animals either.
Tony’s son Hilary holds. There will still be a Benn in the Lower House:clap:
I love the way the lefties are now bleating about the future of the Union. Tonights story is about the trouncing Labour got, how they completely misread the British electorate both North and South. Talk about that. At the end of the day it’s peoples pockets that matter most. Cameron has mugged you all off, good and proper.,
Cameron, leftie that he is, was bleating about the future of the Union in his constituency victory address. You need to listen more carefully to your leader
It has to be said the UK election system is an utter joke, and I’m approaching that from a right-wing knuckle dragger perspective, as UKIP should have about 80 MPs but will instead have one.
The Irish election system is far superior in terms of representing what the people have voted for.
Dry your tears, @Raymond Crotty , dry your tears.,

True but it suited the main parties until 2010.
