He’s obviously not a xenophobe, but he didn’t seem a bit perturbed by the brexit result, he was out straight away saying the vote had to be respected. I have no knowledge or real interest in British politics but I like Corbyn, a decent man.

What’s the situation in Norn Iron?

At least Tinys crew have seen the light.

Corb-RA 2 - Maygie Tatcher 0

Well thats not true as it was at the 1.40 - 1.45 range pre brexit but anyway, it won’t be testing that level for a while now.

Oh I do hope Rudd goes. May Rudderless

Moyes in charge?

Sunderland South was a big Brexit constituency, although traditional solid Labour.

You would expect the Tories to gain vote share here.

What’s going to be fascinating is Tory seats in the south-west gained from the Lib Dems in 2015. Some of these could swing back.

3% swing to Tories in Sunderland but exit poll implied a 3% swing the other way. Hmm.

The bigger turnout is the worryingly by factor for the tories it wasn’t May they were coming out for. Also UKIP vote not a 100% solid Tory vote as some had assumed

Not in the North anyway

True Newcastle people are weird

Tories saying the exit poll is wrong.

But Labour said that in 2015 too. It was out but not in the way Labour thought that time.

Nate Silver has a thing called the First rule of Polling Errors.

These experiences have given rise to what I’ve called the First Rule of Polling Errors, which is that polls almost always miss in the opposite direction of what pundits expect:
