That is a poor standard of game. The kits are a throwback to the 80s,and the standard of football is a throwback to what Ulster delivered in the 80s. Mattie Donnelly is like the player who is well past it but togs out for his clubs reserves and shines. Monaghan just don’t have the legs to play in Croke Park.

In a pub in Ulster here and every TV has been switched from Croke Park to the rugby. Ulster desperately needs the promising underage teams from Derry and Down to breakthrough at senior and quickly. The dominance of sides like Tyrone, Monaghan and Donegal has the game in a terrible state.
