8 skips,
Jack reverses
You can only play a 2 on a 2 or else you have to pick up 2 (if you’re looking at two twos you pick up 4 etc
Ace can be played anytime (except on a 2) and can change suit
You can’t finish on a trick card
Have to call last card
If you make a mistake or play too slow you pick up 2

Highest score left in the hand loses a life

There are numerous other variations. Pretty sure it’s 7s for skips when we play. Also king of hearts = pick up 5 unless you hold the queen of hearts which cancels it.
Great game for kids and adults to play together.

We played a bit in college as a handy break from poker and Don
Players from all over Ireland would bring their own rules but the ones I outlined are local in Cork so we stuck with that.

Also had games of Crazy Lives where, and i cant remember the card number, but if thrown you have all to be silent until it comes back around to that player. Caught talking, pick up 2
