You’d wonder how these big 18/19 stone props get on when they retire? I mean they’re hardly going to be eating few thousand calories a day and just sitting around doing nothing.

Majority will be multiple stones lighter within a few years of retirement
Believe it or not but tapering off the appetite is part of the post retirement structure they would get from the clubs in Ireland … V few of the players who have retired out of modern era are out of shape

Connacht look in v good shape for season ahead. Thought they were v unlucky not to win in thomond they are very fit and aggressive at breakdown. Plenty class through the squad as well
