Trump claimed that the story was fabricated and that he had proof. The congresswoman has responded that she was with the widow at the time, and that the widow told her that Trump hadn’t even bothered to find out what the dead soldier’s name was.
It’s amazing how he can continue to be forgiven for insulting grieving military families by the pro-military conservatives. It’s almost like they don’t give a fuck about the ‘troops’ beyond the political capital they can provide.
