That really is the one hilarious thing about it all. His people desperately cobble together a cover story for him and then he immediately exposes them as liars.
Even Fox is reeling from this latest one. If he endangered an undercover agent then that’s a huge deal. Especially since Snowden is the devil incarnate for (in the opinion of Fox and no one else) having done the same thing.
But I guess if they got over the Scooty Libby fiasco they’ll get over this too.
To be expected, they know that money is needed for Trump’s infrastructure plan and they have the size and bulk to lobby for it. It should only happen with comprehensive reform of CT but given the situation both parties allowed to develop I won’t hold my breath and I expect a huge write off for the big Cos.
No surprise there, the big MNCs have the lobbying power to get what they want, and if they don’t they’ll just continue to store profits offshore. As Tim said, overall tax reform is the key. Small companies are crippled by high federal, state and local taxes and although they are the lifeblood of the economy, take a backseat to the demands of the MNCs.
"In tweets in summer 2013, Trump repeatedly called Snowden a “traitor” who gave “serious information to China and Russia” and who “should be executed.”
Trump is running his presidency like he’s a heel WWF wrestler from the late 80s/early 90s, complete with the choreographed pieces to camera “calling out” his enemies.
Sort of a mixture of Ric Flair and Sergeant Slaughter, when Slaughter was in his “traitor” phase.
Hardly a surprise when he’s actually been a WWF/WWE character in the past, is a member of the WWE “Hall of Fame” and Vince McMahon’s wife is actually in his cabinet. He’s even got the dumb broad who actually hates him on his arm like the Million Dollar Man had Sensational Sherri and Macho Man Randy Savage had Elizabeth.
He’s formed a commission to try and gerrymander the electoral system across the US in favour of Republicans by systematically denying the vote to people likely to vote against them, which is pretty serious.
“I feel like running down the hallway with a fire extinguisher,” one senior Trump administration official told The Daily Beast, in response to an inquiry regarding Tuesday’s developments.

“Every time I feel like we’re getting a handle on the last Russia fiasco, a new one pops,” a White House staffer told The Daily Beast on Monday evening. On Tuesday, after reports of the Comey memo began to circulate, the staffer revised that assessment: “I guess I was wrong about the timing,” the staffer said. “We can’t even wrap up one Russia fiasco before we’re on to the next one.”
A senior official in the Trump administration, who previously worked on the president’s campaign, offered a candid and brief assessment of the fallout from that string of bad press: “I don’t see how Trump isn’t completely fucked.”
