I think this whole debacle will aid Trump in his reelection. Everyone knew or kind of knew what far right movements and extremism looked like. This has really shone a light on what the far left looks like. And it is just as violent and ugly.
You said it. The silent majority will riot in the voting booth. I’d say gun sales are gone through the roof
Are those skyscrapers in the Georgian Quarter up by the People’s Park? Never noticed them before.
It will be tough for them to fill an hour and a half. Maybe @glasagusban can tell them about the time he went to a civil rights museum.
That’s the dock road
The protests seem to be hijacked by mainly white early 20 somethings looking to cause damage to property… of course, the looting is just poverty overspilling. It’s a shame, as the racist element to it will and is being overshadowed by mindless vandals. You’ve genuine black activists trying to get the message out but American cities are powderkegs … Way too much poverty for it to remain largely civil.

The US citizens are lucky there are so many woke Irish people who, having completely solved racism here, can now move on to advising Americans who they should and shouldn’t vote for, how to run their society etc
Who’s this Sophia O Neill doo gooder
Sophie is back from equal opportunities world leader Dubai to inspire the movement. The godfather of the limerick rap scene is also involved. One of @caulifloweredneanderthal’s homies
Not sure why Irish are protesting about an American police issue?
I’m sure the Chineeee police get up to all sorts but we don’t see it so it doesn’t matter …
Debateable. Biden is hardly touched by the supposed far left’s violence. Much of this wouldn’t be happening with a Democrat in office.
A lot of the cops in places like NYC have side nixers like niteclub/bar/restaurant bouncers on the go.
I worked/had dealings with a few of them when I was on the J1 a lifetime ago. Majority white lads and that undercurrent of casual racism was always there.
We’d be working in the restaurant and they’d walk in occasionally to bark orders - “make sure that table six pays before leaving” - when it would inevitably be a black family.
Whatever about inequality over here it’s even more pronounced in the States. If you don’t have an education or relative wealth you’re fucked, whether you are white, black, brown or yellow.
Stopped off in Philadelphia for a day or two. An absolute kip. The odd tourist spot is nice but large parts of it are ghettos.
Welcome aboard mate, that’ll have a few of the usual suspects seething
Three months make me an expert, pal.
3 months on the building sites in Chicago - signing in.
Was this before or after the ill fated Nova Scotia experiment?
After … I did Nova Scotia, LA/San Fran, NZ, Oz, Thailand, Ireland, Chicago, Ireland, Argentina, Brasil, Ireland, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Ireland … in a 2 year spin.
How many of those places did you work in? Not sure why you kept including ireland in your travels its very over rated
What was Ireland like?
