Quite possibly.
There is also a requirement to go down a GP training path knowing that you will potentially limit your long term income relative to peers. Government chipping away at it all the time too.

Of course it could. One of the quickest and easiest ways is importing doctors trained in other countries. It would be easy for the US to invest in overseas education of doctors for import of their services to the US health market. But that global economy rhetoric only flies when you’re destroying the livelihoods of blue collar workers. Despite the principle being exactly the same, it’s not supposed to apply to the professional classes.
On the contrary, free trade takes on an Orwellian tone when applied to the healthcare market. Agreements have consistently been used to extend and strengthen patents to a perverse degree. Sovaldi, a Hep C drug, costs $84,000 for a three month course in the US. There’s a generic version available for $1,000. It is a racket by any definition. And it’s a policy choice.
It’s really instructive to look into what the TPP intended for the health sector. Longer and more extreme patents to raise costs and give even greater monopolies to drug companies. It’s protectionism that kills American citizens. I wouldn’t have thought US politicians were elected to do either of those things.
What’s been done to the American blue collar worker over the last few decades is appalling. They’ve been savaged from both sides. Life expectancy is now falling for the white working class. Something unheard of, and until recently unimaginable, in wealthy and industrialised societies.
chumps like @anon7035031 eating chlorine washed chicken & products full of fructose wondering why he feels like shit all the time
It is estimated that as many as 15,000 transgender people work in the US military.
Everybody quick look over there
One of his more blatant efforts. The bold is gas.
“After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military. Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you.”
Great stuff
I see there’s a reference to the Sporanos on a new thread and Scaramucci’s performance on Newsnight just now was straight out of it.
This guy’s good, and by good I mean he’s an utterly shameless, saccharine schmaltzer…
You’d get banned for 12 weeks in the GAA for the way he cosied up to Emily Maitlis.
Emily dresses and interviews like a flirty teacher who likes to tease teenage pupils .

She was rocking a navy bubble gilet last night. Very late 1990s South Dublin fee paying schoolgirl style.
Great post.

How much does it cost to go through medical school in the US? Id imagine a lot when you take fees, loving expenses , long term cost of student debt etc. [/quote]
It varies depending on private or public universities, you have to do a 4 year undergrad degree followed by 4 years of med school. Taking all costs into account, over the 8 years you are probably talking $250K public and $400K private.
compared to all the costs in the US military those cost are neglectable
This Scaramucci chap, or “Mooch” as he calls himself, thinks he’s a real wise guy.
He appears to be as thick as Trump.
Last night he tweeted the following: “In light of the leak of my financial disclosure info which is a felony. I will be contacting @FBI and the @TheJusticeDept #swamp @Reince45"
In the tweet, Scaramucci accuses Reince Priebus of leaking his financial disclosure form.
The thing is the form is publicly available under freedom of information.
Scaramucci then deleted the tweet.
He rang up CNN this morning and went on air for half an hour for a bizarre, rambling interview in which he effectively doubled down on claiming Priebus is leaking information to journalists and said Trump had “140, no, 125 followers on social media”.
He’s less Silvio Dante and more Brendan Filone.

They spend 10 times the amount on viagra that they do on transgender services.
More than a million prescriptions are paid for every year, and many go to retired personnel.
yeah, that’s another peace of evidence that shows that this is completely nonsensical
Finally, an answer to the question of what is elite and what is non-elite.
If you eat cheeseburgers and pizza you’re non-elite.
Scaramucci and Priebus really hate each other. Perhaps one should challenge the other to a duel. This is not unknown among Republicans.
I see none of our leftie brethren have picked up on this story yet. “A modest real estate matter” claims his attorney. This cunt, who was responsible for maintaining the IT systems for the DNC (yes, those servers that were hacked), fraudulently borrowed a few hundred grand from his local credit union, and then wired it to Pakistan where he was headed when arrested. Should get interesting. He was already under investigation by the FBI, but only fired yesterday after being apprehended at the airport.
Surprisingly,. not a peep about it on CNN.
Imran Awan, an aide for Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., was arrested Monday attempting to flee the country and charged with bank fraud, officials said.
Would probably be headline news if President Fuck Up kept his head down for a week.
hahahahhahahahahah
