Of course it could. One of the quickest and easiest ways is importing doctors trained in other countries. It would be easy for the US to invest in overseas education of doctors for import of their services to the US health market. But that global economy rhetoric only flies when you’re destroying the livelihoods of blue collar workers. Despite the principle being exactly the same, it’s not supposed to apply to the professional classes.
On the contrary, free trade takes on an Orwellian tone when applied to the healthcare market. Agreements have consistently been used to extend and strengthen patents to a perverse degree. Sovaldi, a Hep C drug, costs $84,000 for a three month course in the US. There’s a generic version available for $1,000. It is a racket by any definition. And it’s a policy choice.
It’s really instructive to look into what the TPP intended for the health sector. Longer and more extreme patents to raise costs and give even greater monopolies to drug companies. It’s protectionism that kills American citizens. I wouldn’t have thought US politicians were elected to do either of those things.
What’s been done to the American blue collar worker over the last few decades is appalling. They’ve been savaged from both sides. Life expectancy is now falling for the white working class. Something unheard of, and until recently unimaginable, in wealthy and industrialised societies.

It varies depending on private or public universities, you have to do a 4 year undergrad degree followed by 4 years of med school. Taking all costs into account, over the 8 years you are probably talking $250K public and $400K private.

In the tweet, Scaramucci accuses Reince Priebus of leaking his financial disclosure form.
The thing is the form is publicly available under freedom of information.
Scaramucci then deleted the tweet.
He rang up CNN this morning and went on air for half an hour for a bizarre, rambling interview in which he effectively doubled down on claiming Priebus is leaking information to journalists and said Trump had “140, no, 125 followers on social media”.
He’s less Silvio Dante and more Brendan Filone.
