I’m not a denier of global warming, which is a thing, or climate change, which is also a thing. However, don’t dismiss the politicization of a climate change trillion dollar taxpayer funded industry. The climate scientists who projected an acceleration in global temperatures from 1998 to 2013 were wrong, as temperatures barely increased during that 15 year period. Temperatures shot up again (relatively) in 2015/16, but that was due to a natural event (El Nino), not a man made event.
The reality is that observed warming has been occuring at roughly half the rate that climate models say it should be occuring, and the basis for energy policy, such as the Paris accord, are the models (which are obviously wrong).

Only nutters deny that climate changes, and anyone living in Ireland who denies climate change is a supreme nutter.
The question is how much of climate change is due to man made causes, and to understand that you have to step away from the political bullshit on both sides. Natural effects have a much bigger impact on climate than man made effects and the data supports this (the slowing of temperature rises from 1998 to 2013, and the rapid increase from 2015 to 2016, both caused by natural effects).

Another embarrassing one for Trump. Mad Dog Mattis has ordered a freeze on discharging of transgender military personnel. A study has been published finding that the cost of discharging and replacing them all will be $960,000,000.
Per person the cost of discharging and replacing is $75,000. The current annual medical cost per transgender person is $656. Fair to say the financial argument isn’t looking too solid.
Appeasing the far right is Trump’s game, so he would have no problem disregarding the above, but a public spat with Mattis is a different matter. He’s the toughest of the military tough guys Trump wants to fill his administration with.
The name was a bit of a giveaway as to the lack of credibility of that website. 30 seconds’ worth of googling could have told him that it’s run and funded by the Heartland Institute, who are funded by the Kochs and other corporate backers and are climate change denialists who also for years denied the risk of smoking - a bit like the current US vice-president.
