This is all depressingly accurate. My daughter asked me the other day āwhat am I going to do for a job when AI takes overā.
I was reading that of the S&P 500 only 10 companies have shown any real growth in the last 3 years. The other 490 are static or contracting. We are heading towards a few tech companies controlling everything.

Thereāll be a few execs against the wall, half the population killed and a reset (I reckon). Unless governments are sensible and ban it from taking jobs, which they will, because theyāll realise that the devil makes work for idle hands.
Not a chance they will. The mantra of āitāll move people into more economically productive jobsā will be trotted out. Itāll be as wrong as ever of course.
Thereās actually a great chance here to benefit society. Countries need to tax the fuck out of the insane profits that are going to to be made. Use it to provide a universal basic income. Or at the very least use it to provide top class public services and reduce the working week.
Iād give it two chances. Dystopian future here we come.
